James Ertle, M.D.

Dr. James Ertle, M.D. | Dermatologist | Hinsdale IL | Forest Park ILDr. James Ertle was Board Certified in Dermatology in 1973 and voluntarily recertified by examination in 1999. Dr. Ertle is a graduate of Dartmouth College and studied medicine at the University of Basel, Switzerland. Following internship at St. Louis University Hospitals, Dr. Ertle did his Dermatology Residency as well as a Fellowship in Immunology at the University of Chicago. After residency Dr. Ertle served in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps as a Lieutenant Commander during the Vietnam era. Dr. Ertle has been in private practice in Hinsdale since 1972.

Since 1974, Dr. Ertle has been an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Rush Medical University and a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at the Hinsdale Hospital Family Practice Program. Dr. Ertle practices medical as well as surgical dermatology with a special interest in skin cancer, Pediatric Dermatology and Tropical Diseases.

Dr. Ertle served as a consultant in Dermatology to the AMA Drug Evaluation 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th editions and the Editorial Board of Chicago Medicine, 1985-1989. He is the author of six publications.
